Our work at OPENBOOK GROUP puts the realities of business,

our operations, we extend our stewardship far beyond our
own four walls.
We see it as an obligation that must at
all times extend beyond the statutory requirement to comply
with legislation. Indeed, our organisational commitment
is to voluntarily take further steps to improve the quality
of life for employees and their families as well as for
the local community and society at large.
Environment
For us this means caring about the impact
our activities have on everything and everyone around
us - from you (our clients) to the ozone.
From an internal perspective we know that
the protection of the environment begins with the education
and actions of each individual. We look to make our own
environment as eco-friendly as possible with established
targets in place to reduce power usage, waste and paper
consumption. We have an internal programme for recycling
and we carbon offset our travel.
We keep our staff informed as to how each
and every one of us can help protect our environment.
It's the effort of the group that will make the difference
overall and each small gesture is one step forward for
the future.
Today at OPENBOOK GROUP, we are studying
ways in which we can not only be more environmentally
friendly in our event production and are working closely
with our suppliers and partners to protect all our futures.
Diversity
It goes without saying that our own organisation
thrives through diversity. Our employees enjoy working
where their differences are celebrated and valued. We
have a working environment that encourages understanding
and tolerance with regard to race, age, gender, ability,
sexual orientation and belief.
Additionally, we accomodate the special
needs of our clients. All OPENBOOK INSTITUTE events are
held at facilities which provide access for any and all
mobility challenges. We strive to offer materials and
presentations in formats which allow users with sight
or hearing difficulties to actively participate in our
events. And dietary restrictions are managed with our
trusted event partners - the hotels, caterers and restaurants
that help support our efforts.
